Minecraft's account transfer to Microsoft is currently in progress, but some players aren't entirely satisfied. Mojang claims that the move will improve security and give more safety features. However, some accounts have been locked out. This is a mandatory move.

First announced last month, the switch is primarily focused on security. Once you've made the switch, you can use two-factor authentication. Some players are upset because you'll need to transfer your account in order to play Minecraft after March 10.
Minecraft creator Docm77 declares the account migration the "biggest error in the history of Minecraft" on Twitter. The reason for this is that when you have multiple accounts, you will be required to create an individual Microsoft account for each. This issue can lead to your Microsoft account being blocked due to certain terms-of-service stipulations. While this isn't a problem that everyone Minecraft player is likely to confront, it is a problem for content creators as well as those who simply like tinkering with the game, as they might need to make more Microsoft accounts. There are many reports on social media that players are having difficulty making the transition.
