He is one of the artists who love the Sundanese culture. He has known art since the age of 4 years, especially Sundanese musical arts with musical instruments made of bamboo that we know as Angklung. Various art performances are held in Saung Angklung Udjo every day. Not only limited to Angklung music performances, but the visitors can also see other traditional art performances such as wayang golek art, helaran, and mask dance. The show begins with a puppet show demonstration played by the puppeteer. Wayang Golek itself is one of the objects of West Java typical art of wooden puppets.

This is a strange place to review as there are some highs and some lows. I think if the room rate wasn't on the high side and if the hotel wasn't billed as a 5-star hotel, it would have got an average rating. Check-in was smooth and the reception team very helpful. The swimming pool was nice, as was the sandy area around it. There was a fountain area though that was still accessible to guests but which looked derelict. The breakfast buffet had enough choice for a good breakfast.

These dances consist of two rounds, each of which still represents a different story. In the first half the dancers in this red costume danced without using a mask, which tells Layang Kumintir, an anchor for Ratu Kencana Wungu while in the Blambangan Kingdom to seek information and investigate the state of the kingdom. In the second half the Bali Holiday Villas Seminyak dancers wore masks. This second round tells Layang Kumintir disguised as a mighty man who must fight against King Menakjingga and defeat him. The most interesting show and waiting for the visitors is this angklung music art performance.
So the whole area is consisted of 3 or 4 tall buildings, and one of them have been turned into a hotel while the other three buildings remain private apartments. The swimming pool for the hotel is located in different area from the apartment's pool so visitors of the hotel can enjoy their own pool without having to be disturbed by the apartment residents and vice versa. We have to walk on a long boardwalk to get there, but walking the boardwalk is of course a lot of fun because of the beautiful view of the calm sea and the vast sky behind it. We were there in the afternoon so the sun was not very hot up there.

The restaurant itself has a unique circular building, the food and drinks were okay, nothing really special in taste but they were all generally okay.
