Avanos Medical recalls that there was a total of sixty injuries and 23 deaths from mistakes in the placement of nasogastric tubes since 2015. Pneumothorax (collapsed lung), pneumothorax ("collapsed lung"), perforation ("hole in the wall" or the bowels of the lung), pneumonia (a bacteria-infected infection of the lungs) and the pleural fluid (excess fluid in between the lungs).
