Minecraft Java Edition 1.19.1

We're now out with 1.19.1 for Minecraft: Java Edition. This update includes Allay duplicate and a new Player Safety features.



- Added Allay Duplication Tweaked Sculk Catalysts - Added Chat Trust status - New Options for Chat Preview - Added Player Reporting



Allay



The Allays dance to a Record in the form of a Jukebox. - If the Allay is given an Amethyst Shard, while dancing it will duplicate. Duplication is a five-minute cooling down



Sculk Catalyst



- Sculk Catalysts now drop 5 XP instead of 20 XP



Chat



- Moved chat scrollbar to right



Chat Trust Status



Messages that aren't signed by the Secure Chat system, or have been altered by the server will be markedas "Not Secure" - Messages that have missing or invalid signatures are identified as "Not Secure" - Messages that are identified as being modified are marked as "Modified"



- The colored indicator is always visible - The icon is only visible when the chat screen is open



- For modified messages, the original secure text will also be displayed in the tooltip



Chat Preview



- Chat Preview option "When Sending" that updates chat previews only when you attempt to send an email. To confirm sending messages, you'll have to press the Enter/Return key twice. The "ON" setting was changed to "While Typing".



Player Reporting



Reporting a player who has sent abusive messages to the game chat is now possible. The reporter must select the chat messages containing the objectionable content and the category of the complaint. This is to provide the most appropriate context for our moderation staff to take action. This is accessible via the social interactions screen.

Multiple chat messages can be selected for reporting. Additional chat messages in conjunction with the selection can also be used to provide more context to our moderating team



The Report Categories screen has an "Learn About Reporting" button that directs users to a help article

Suspensions & Bans



- The game will display a notification screen at the start-up screen if you've been banned from online play. The reason for the suspension is displayed as well as how long it lasts.



Realms



- A message that has been filtered by the Java Realms Profanity Filter now has a yellow marker. Players will be notified when a chat message they send has been completely filtered for one of the Realm's receiving players.



Technical



- Chat input boxes will not apply to custom fonts with negative advances or glyphs with advances that exceed 32



Chat Types



Chat types that were added to the chat_types Registry are only used by player chat and not for system messages. The game_info and chat types for system chat have been deleted



Chat types do not support overlays. Instead the system message is the best way to display overlays



- This chat type parameter is used by msg_command_outgoing



Components



- The run_command event for text components does not support sending chat messages directly. Only commands are accepted. The values now have to be /prefixed. Commands such as /say that generate an encrypted chat message should be used instead.

Multiplayer Secure Chat Signing



Chat messages are now cryptographically verified. This is used to verify the authenticity of chat messages in Player Reports



Server



enforce-secure-profile is now defaulted to true for dedicated servers - Insecure chat messages logged in the server are prefixed with a [Not Secure] tag - Custom servers can set their own auto-completion options for regular chat via a new network packet - Custom servers can hide player chat messages from display via a new network packet- This does not delete player chat messages from chat logs



Fixed Bugs in 1.19.1



More than 50 bugs were fixed in this release. View the list on the issue tracker.



Get the Release



To install the release, open up the Minecraft Launcher and click play! Make sure that your Launcher is set to the "Latest Version" option.
