As as a British citizen the comments that bubbled up as her reign ended was deeply troubling.
There are some unintentionally opportunistic voices within the British royal family have made recent racist insinuations in recent times however, other public officials such as Greens Senator Mehreen faruqi have been more vocal in their opinions about their negative views after passing in remarks that talk about a "racist Empire that was built on stolen lives and land"

I am an immigrant from the United Kingdom who arrived in the UK as a young person and was welcomed with warm welcome like the majority of the citizens of the UK who were under her rule, nothing is farther than the truth.

Her Majesty's reign was one of acceptance of people of different backgrounds, ethnicities and backgrounds.

Although it could seem straightforward, it seems unfair to place blame on one person and hold them accountable for the events that took place prior to their birth. Queen Elizabeth II had any connection with Britain's troubling past. She was only there to make sure that Britain's modernization was visible to the UK and the entire world.
