He still has a very tough time finding his place, which has made him pretty timid. Though, if someone were to accept him as he was and get close, he'd almost become a whole different person. Past that wall, he's very affectionate, almost cuddly if someone allows it, and comfortable when in an environment that allows it.

[C]「Backstory」
[IC] ⚘ Xui had as normal of a childhood as a hybrid could, society was still getting used to them existing, so there were still plenty of groups that had a hatred towards them. As a kid, he lived rather normally, being homeschooled with his mother and playing at home, in the backyard, and occasionally going out to shop with his parents. He didn't really have any opportunities to make any friends, but he didn't mind, he enjoyed his time at home. Unfortunately, what they weren't aware of, was that a group of people had seen his father on his way home from work, and noticed the fact he was a neko, supposedly they had seen his ears when he entered their home. This was around when Xui was 13, and it was something he'd never forget, no matter how badly he wanted to. The group broke into their home one morning, yelling profanities, cursing, and scaring him beyond belief. He knew his father had warned him of people like this, but he never thought it'd happen to them, they kept to themselves and never went out to bother anyone. Yet, these people targeted them anyways. They didn't have guns, but they had sharp weapons, and had no hesitation to hurt his parents. One of them had dragged him into the room and forced him to watch, a scene that scarred his mind. Before they could begin with him, one screamed of cops at the front of their home, which caused the rest of them to run away in fear. A neighbor had called the cops upon hearing the break in and the screaming from their home, but when the policemen rushed inside and saw what had happened, that they were hybrids.. they just left. Left his parents to bleed out, left him alone to watch them. How could the supposed protectors of their society do such a thing..? He didn't understand. His mother, in the moments before she lost consciousness, comforted him the best she could, handing him her necklace that his father had gotten for her when they first began dating. Xui didn't remember how long he stayed with them even after they fell silent, he didn't remember how long he cried, but he still remembered the pain. The pain that they were different, that they weren't worthy of living, that they were a disgrace to humans. He eventually found enough strength to pick himself up, gather anything he could in their home, and run, run as far away from that god forsaken town, from that country. He managed to sneak onto a plane and fly wherever wasn't there, it hurt to leave his parents bodies, but his mothers last request was to save himself, and he couldn't disobey that. Ever since then, he had been living in the streets or in hotels when he was able to.

[IC] ⚘ Most hybrids are able to transform into their animal counterpart, and Xui was no different, he had a cat form he was able to switch into at will. It took a lot of mental energy to be able to do it though, so whenever he switched, he often stayed in whichever form for a long period of time.
[IC] ⚘ Hybrids have some similar traits to the animal they were crossed with, some of them are genetic, while others are simply preferences. Xui is genetically allergic to water, whenever it touched his skin, it would become rashed and incredibly itchy.
