Minecraft's version of Elden Ring is here, and it's incredible. minecraft Combining the two giants of gaming may seem to be a daunting task but thanks to modding power and a very dedicated YouTuber this is now an actuality. It's also possible to do by yourself.
The YouTuber in the issue is AsianHalfSquat who makes a lot of Minecraft mod videos highlighting the incredible work that the community is working on in the building game. This time around there wasn't a single mod they were highlighting, but more than 40.
AsianHalfSquat will explain each mod in detail. She also explains why they were selected, what minor adjustments you might have to make, and any possible problems they may cause. It's a lot to absorb but it's worth watching if only to understand just how huge this undertaking can be. You can download the Shattered Ring modpack at the link below.
The result is a game that certainly is reminiscent of Minecraft but not in the way that the majority of people think of it. Combat is more in depth and variety with various weapons that require new timings to think about and button mashing is no longer a viable option because the tougher mobs will slay players for doing it. New bosses roam around the world ready to attack without warning as they slash up the surrounding area and kill the players.
Dungeons look horrifying, with hordes of enemies and incredible textures that line their walls. They've even got dragons flying around the world dropping explosive fireballs willy-nilly to kill you and smolder the earth itself. This is one of those times which really shows off the amazing Minecraft mods can be. We're eagerly awaiting the next chapter in the world of Minecraft Elden Ring cross-overs.
