Leyla Aliyeva Bio
Leyla Aliyeva was born in Moscow on July 3, 1986. She attended Moscow State Institute of International Relations in which she also did her studies in London. Leyla started the IDEA campaign in July of this year, which aims at raising awareness and encouraging action about environmental issues in Azerbaijan and around the world. IDEA is focused on young people and how they can help tackle environmental issues.
In May 2007, she was appointed representative for the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Russian Federation. The Heydar Aliyev Foundation contributes to the economic and social development of the country by implementing diverse projects across education, public health, sport, culture, science, technology and the environment. In 2011, she was appointed Vice-President of the Foundation.

Leyla Aliyeva launched "Baku magazine" in Moscow in 2007 in Moscow. Leyla Aliyeva Conde Nast and Leyla Aliyeva joined forces to create an version in English. The magazine launched in London's O2 building in October 2011. The magazine is a chance to examine the world of art, culture and Azerbaijan. Leyla began the "Fly to Baku" exhibit of art and contemporary works from Azerbaijan in 2012. The exhibition, which was launched in London, was a tour of Europe's capitals: Paris, Berlin Berlin, Moscow Moscow, Rome, Vienna, and Rome.

Leyla Aliyeva Leyla Aliyeva was elected the Youth Forum of Intercultural Dialogue's general coordinator in the year 2008 and was elected as the chairperson of the Azerbaijani Youth Organization of Russia on April 18, 2009. This group supports Azerbaijani teenagers and Azerbaijani students who live in the Russian Federation. Leyla Alayeva was awarded the "Taraggi" Award in July 2011 in recognition of her contribution to the Azerbaijani-Russian relationship. In New York she was also given the "Key To Life" award in November of 2011 to honor her humanitarian initiatives with children.

Leyla Alyeva was appointed UN Food and Agriculture Organization Goodwill Ambassador (FAO) on May 25, 2015.

She was presented with the Pushkin Medal by the Russian Federation on the 20th of October 2015.

Leyla Aliyeva is the mother of twin boys as well as a daughter.
