The mobile version of Minecraft - also known as Minecraft: Pocket Edition - is being designed to allow for massive changes - literally. Mojang, the developer Mojang announced on its website that its team is "restructuring the majority of the code to allow substantially larger worlds in future upgrades," and also tweaked the AI of creatures, the inventory system, and other aspects.
Mojang announced that Pocket Edition updates will not be released until the end of the year. We believe that this statement was written while playing with a fluffy white cat or on the Death Star.

Mojang also "pausing access" to Pocket Realms beta. This allows for persistent worlds to be stored on private servers. "The Realms team is currently focused on the upcoming release of PC Realms," Mojang wrote. "Once this is done and completed, we'll be in a better place to work on Pocket Realms and make it as great as it can be, which will be later this year." The pause is set to take effect on March 1.
