Headed off around the world in “Wandering Star”, my Knysna constructed Endurance 37, from ’82 – ’86 and in Australia I met my future wife, Liz, who's from the States. That, after all, put an finish to my singlehanding days. Sailed again to the States in ’87 and in ’88 received the manager’s job at Spring Cove Marina in Solomons MD. It is a full service “resort” style marina with 250 slips and boatyard which has stored us busy and out of hassle. We enjoy skiing in the winter and I still race my Laser in the hotter months, although now I am known as a “Grand Master” and appear to be getting slower and slower!
