>Amsco adalah salah satu dari jenis sandi Transposisi (Perpindahan Posisi) tanpa perubahan komponen huruf pada sandi tersebut.
>Amsco memiliki 1 pola yang menjadi ciri khasnya yaitu ada clue 2-1-2-1 itu pasti amsco. Jadi cipher ini memiliki ciri khas terbuka.
>Sandi amsco ini adalah sandi yg memiliki pola kembar atau berulang. Yg dimana polanya (umum) adalah 2-1-2-1. selain itu untuk cipher ini ada yang tetap dan ada yang berubah. Yaitu penempatan perubahan posisi.
Kebanyakan ada yg menggunakan clue 3-4-1-2-5 (umum) ada yang bebas juga misal 5-2-4-1-3 dst... Pokoknya urutan 1-5 disusun secara acak.
Sandi ini termasuk mudah dibuat dan sulit dipecahkan karena...
-pengacakan posisi huruf, yang apabila sudah menjadi cipher/encrypt akan sulit diterjemahkan.
-karena sifat dri pengacakan / tranposisi dari huruf normal.
-cara pembacaan yg terbalik.
