International Creators Included Bars and Melody

Tubecon is a worldwide community-driven YouTube event that gathers YouTube creators and their audiences in arena-sized public events. The first Tubecon took place in August 2014 at Hartwall Arena, Helsinki with more than 5,000 people attending. [1] Since then Tubecon has been held 25 times in 4 different countries so far (Finland, Sweden, Spain and Switzerland) with an overall attendance of more than 120,000 people attending all events. [2]



Tubecon has seen a significant rise in its popularity over the years as has the YouTube and online influencers community. The biggest Tubecon events have attracted more than 18,000 attendees and included more than 200 YouTubers and online influencers.



Tubecon event program is built in collaboration with local online influencers. It includes multiple program elements like Meet & Greets, Tubecon Video Awards, panels and concerts. In 2018, Tubecon is taking place in Finland, Sweden, Germany and Switzerland and letters of intent have been signed in Romania, Latvia and Austria. [3]

2014[edit]



The story of Tubecon began in 2014 when Finnish creators wanted to organize an event in which their viewers and they could meet each other in a safe and fun way. [4]



Performers[edit]



Kasmir Justimusfilms MadCraft TCT Robin They also presented Hartwall Arena's Minecraft version on the main stage.



2015[edit]



Tubecon 2015 took place at Hartwall Arena in August 2015[5with more than 10,000 people attending.



2016[edit]



The Finnish Tubecon was held between 12 and 13 August in 2016. The second day was sold out. The event attracted 18,500 people. [6]



Sweden[edit]



Tubecon in Sweden began in Stockholm on January 6, 2016. It was attended by more than 4500 people. They also did an autumn tour, which started on 9 September in Vasteras and ended on the 10th of December in Kungsbacka. About 50 YouTube creators visited 8 cities. [7] In 2016 more than 15,000 people attended Tubecon Sweden events.



Germany[edit]



The Tubecon was held in Germany on the 20th of February in the Turbinenhalle Oberhausen. Special VIP and Aftershow Tickets were also available.



2017[edit]



Finnish event was held in Hartwall Arena on 12-13 August with about 17,500 attendees. [8]



Spain[edit]



First ever Tubecon Spain was held on 18 February in the wiZink Center in Madrid. The event was attended by about 4,000 people who attended and more than 200 Spanish creators attending. [9]



Switzerland[edit]



Tubecon Switzerland was first organized in Zurich's Hallenstation on the 29th of December. The event was attended by 2,500 attendees. [11]



2018[edit]



Finland[edit]



The Finnish Tubecon was held in Messukeskus Helsinki between 17-18 August for the first time. The theme of the event was "My Story". The event was attended by around 200 Finnish YouTubers. Tubecon hosted creators from around the world including the USA, Great Britain, Germany, Thailand, and Germany in the first Tubecon World Meet. Bars and Melody, Jon Cozart, Softpomz, and MrTrashPack were some of the international creators. A new TubeCity concept was introduced during the event. This allowed various categories, such as gaming, beauty, fashion and food to have their own sections within the city-like event space. As a new initiative, Tubecon also launched Tube Academy, an educational track inviting creators and anyone who wanted to learn more about video production and the business. [12]
