Decreasing RF-EMF Exposure in Children
When your child is less than the age of ten, you might be concerned about their exposure radiation. If this is the case, continue reading to learn more about the dangers and benefits of limiting your child's exposure to RF radiation. https://www.proteckd.com is essential to keep your child's health at the forefront, and a couple of lifestyle changes can go a long way.

Exposure to radiofrequency (RF) in children

The Dutch ABCD Study and the Spanish INMA Project involved two groups of children with their respective parents. The study population collected data regarding the use of screens devices and calculated the total RF-EMF exposures. The exposure levels were calculated using a combined exposure algorithm that takes into account all the factors that could impact the child's exposure. The subjects in the study also took rigorous cognitive tests that were validated to assess verbal and non-verbal IQ and attention, working memory, task switching and cold executive function visuomotor coordination and processing speed.

The study assessed the environmental EMF exposure of 529 children from five European countries. The levels of exposure measured by the children were 87.5 MHz to 6 GHz. The children were wearing handheld "experimenters" that monitored their exposures while playing outdoors and using handheld devices. They were also required to fill out questionnaires and activity journals to record the amount of time they spent using their devices on their phones.

The total exposure to RF-EMF exposure was very low, ranging between 0.13% to 0.92% in the range of ICNIRP's reference level per second. The study participants were also less likely to use mobile phones than adults, with the majority of them using phones in less than 5 minutes during the afternoon hours.

The FCC established limits for the RF radiation levels that children should be exposed to in daily life. However, the limit was set over 25 years ago, so the FCC must consider the latest research in science and revise its limits to safeguard children's health. The limits for exposure to radiofrequency (RF) should be lower than federal limits, which is 0.4 mg/kg.

Children's exposure to RFs is largely based on the abdomen and torso. In the ICNIRP guidelines should define the exposure limits for various body parts of children. They should also publish the safety margins for each area. This is not the only data that must be included in the research.
