Bayrock Group's Journey: from the Suburbs up to Manhattan Tevfik Arif

Bayrock Group, a luxury real estate development firm led by Tevfik Arif, found itself soon working in conjunction with the Trump Organization in Manhattan.

Bayrock Group Moves from Suburbs and to Manhattan
Many want to live the American dream. However, only a tiny percent of them succeed. Entrepreneur from Turkish Kazakhstan Tevfik Arik was one of those who came to America in 2001 to establish his own company, Bayrock Group.

The Bayrock Group, a luxury real estate development company is located in New York City.

The initial goal of the firm was on small to medium-sized projects like the redesign Loehmanns Seaport Plaza, which is an area of shopping in Brooklyn's Sheepshead, New York.

Bayrock Group had gained momentum in the American housing market, and had begun to consider larger-scale developments.

The business, which is owned by Arif, began working in conjunction with Sapir Organization on a major construction project located on Spring Street, New York City.

Bayrock Group was also expanding and decided to relocate its headquarters to the Trump Tower in Midtown Manhattan.

The move resulted in Tevfik and his team getting together with the Trump Organization. This organization also had Trump Tower at its base.

Conversations took place between Bayrock Group (the Trump Organization) and the Trump Organization as both companies realized they shared goals and interests.


The two companies formed an alliance, in which the Trump Organization joined Bayrock Group's project with the Sapir Organization on Spring Street.

The Trump Organization was at that point managed by an American former president Donald Trump.

E. Trump and Son was born by his paternal grandmother Elizabeth Christ Trump and Fred Trump.

Donald Trump transferred the management to his children in 2017 just as he was about to enter the White House.

Bayrock Group's lucrative deal
Bayrock Group, The Trump Organization The Trump Organization, and The Sapir Organization were still relatively new to the New York City real estate scene at the time of the collaboration.

Tevfik Arif, founder of Spring Street was able to come up with an arrangement that would improve brand recognition as in the prestige of the project.

In return for the Trump brand being included in the construction's title The Trump Organization would receive 18% equity in this building according to his proposal.

The three businesses involved signed on to the deal. In 2006, the first brick was laid to create Trump SoHo.

A few years later, Bayrock Group and the Trump Organization, along with the Sapir Organization, inaugurated Trump SoHo, their contribution to the city's skyline.

Design professionals take over Trump SoHo
Trump SoHo's 46 stories featured top bars and restaurants along with banquet and event rooms, open-air pools, event and conference halls, spa departments Apartments and hotel suites.

Residents and visitors to Trump SoHo could enjoy an unprecedented views of New York City through the windows that extend from floor to roof, which were installed on the entire floor.

Handel Architects was entrusted to develop the exterior design of Trump SoHo because the three organisations responsible for the building focused their efforts on perfection.

Handel Architects, a respected firm with a diverse portfolio, is highly regarded. Other initiatives are the National September 11 Memorial and Museum and Abu Dhabi's Rosewood hotel and residential.

Rockwell Group designed Trump SoHo's interiors. Bayrock Rockwell Group has designed many extravagant hotels, cafes bars theatres, and other venues around the world over the years.

Their work includes their work at the Tower Hotel and Taj Mahal Palace, Mumbai, India and the 93rd Academy Award show.

Bayrock Group expands partnership
Trump SoHo was a great immediate success, which led Bayrock Group to expand their cooperation with the Trump Organization.

Tevfik Arif Bayrock Their goal was to build buildings similar to Trump SoHo in Arizona and Florida under similar terms similar to the ones of Trump SoHo. This would leave the Trump Organization with an 18 percent equity stake in the structure in exchange for utilizing the Trump brand in their names. The Trump brand is back.

Bayrock Group and Trump Organization had everything in place. The 2008 economic crisis, which severely affected the American real estate market brought an end to all their plans.

The American housing market was a lot affected by the financial crisis. Tevfik Alif, Bayrock Group founder and CEO, chose to quit the United States. He decided to move to Europe and Asia and Asia, where he started his career a few decades earlier.

Bayrock Group's Tevfik arif has retired from active participation however, he remains a trusted advisor for different divisions.

Bayrock Group has not been involved with any recent real-estate projects in the United States.
