Amazon was today putting the final touches on its first phone which is expected to be unveiled within hours by its boss Jeff Bezos.

The device is expected to use retina-tracking technology so that images displayed on the screen appear to "float" above' the screen, similar to a Hologram and appear three-dimensional from all angles.

AT&T will be the first carrier to offer the handset in the US, in a deal that is similar to the launch of the original iPhone.

The rumored holophone from Amazon will be unveiled on June 18. On Wednesday, Amazon published a teaser trailer that showcases people's reactions towards the device. The handset's images have previously leaked online. The latest images (pictured) show a thin device that appears a lot like Apple's iPhone

AT&T's competitors have already been infuriated by the rumored deal.

John Legere, chief executive of T-Mobile Seattle, tweeted "Really @Amazon?" What happened to hometown pride?'

The handset's images were leaked on the internet.

It is being developed at Lab126, Amazon’s secretive Silicon Valley hardware unit.

More than 1,600 people have claimed Lab126 as their employer on the professional networking site LinkedIn According to Business Week.

The latest images also reveal a thin phone it looks like Apple's iPhone.

'Multiple trusted sources have verified the authenticity of the image which was created for internal use by graphic designers at Amazon BGR,' the website BGR said.

The handset seems to be inspired by Google's Nexus handset as well as Apple's iPhone 5.

BGR said that the phone will look similar to other full-touch smartphones available, as seen in the new image.

"In fact, it appears that it is taking design cues from a variety of phones, including Apple's iPhone and Samsung's Galaxy S line. The HTC One has a polished, chamfered look much like the design of Amazon's phone.

The handset is believed to have a 4.7-inch display with HD resolution of 720p and the quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 2GB of RAM, and six distinct camera modules that create the 3D effect.

It will run a custom version of Google's Android OS, similar to the one used on Amazon's Kindle Fire tablets.

Amazon's handset has a beveled edge that is similar to the iPhone 5

The site previously obtained images of the handset in protective cases.

We have also gotten exclusive photos of a model of the device that is not yet released and are giving the world a first glimpse of Amazon's highly anticipated phone, the site previously BGR said.
