While still enrolled at AAU, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome began to get involved in ministry. The Believers’ LoveWorld Fellowship was known at the time as Youths For Christ (YFC).

YFC grew to become the largest campus-based fellowship. In 1989, Pastor Chris established Believers LoveWorld Incorporated (BLW), alongside Christ Embassy. Lagos is home to the church's headquarters. Believer's LoveWorld is today a global church with millions of followers and associates around the world.
