Pastor Chris Oyakhilome was a student at Edo College before winning a scholarship to pursue a degree in architecture at Bendel State University, known now as Ambrose Ali University, where the student earned a BSc in Architecture and an honorary Doctor of Science award. He also holds an honorary doctorate degree in divinity from Benson Idahosa University. Ambrose Ali University was where he found his calling to serve the Lord and to be a minister.

Christ Embassy has a strong presence in Pastor Chris's home country of Nigeria. The ministry also has two Healing School in South Africa, Canada and the United States, where Pastor Chris leads seasonal sessions, in which miracles are possible.
