Pastor Chris Oyakhilome is a Nigerian Christian who was born in December 63 in Edo State. He was nurtured by his parents who were devoted to him. He is the elder of three sons born to Elder T.E Oyakhilome (one of the founders of Assemblies for God Church in Benin City) and Angelina. Angelina was the matriarch and imprinted her faith in God to her son at a young age.

The LoveWorld ministry is a joint effort of the family. His brother Reverend Ken (the revered Pastor of Christ Embassy Houston, Texas Church) and a member of Christ Embassy Central Executive Council are his two sisters. KattyWorghiren, the director of LoveWorld Music and Arts Ministry is the home of several best-selling gospel musicians.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome went to Edo College and was awarded a scholarship by Bendel State University to study architecture. While still in university, the Man of God established what would eventually become the largest congregation worldwide. It began as a small group of prayer known as 'Youth for Christ'.
