A few days ago, I decided I was going to test out a myriad of different sports (rock climbing, skydiving muay thai, scuba diving and so on) ...) and find out the things I was drawn to do. This is what I did and have since discovered numerous hobbies that give me happiness. However, sometimes the simplest actions can turn out to be the most satisfying for others. Helping others is something I love to do. It's a good idea to perform a random gesture of kindness every day (whether it's telling a woman you love her or keeping the door open to the elderly) and you'll notice that you're unable to help but be content with how you live your life. Don't put your thoughts to the future or the past. Keep your focus on the present moment, and you'll find the joy of life that you never knew you were missing.
