A few days ago, WoW Insider posted an article asking our readers to suggest ideas for things they'd like to include in WoW to improve the game. We were thrilled to hear your responses and you didn't let us down. Many of the commenters had what we considered were actually some great ideas, and we thought we'd bring them up for more discussion.
This is, in my opinion, a fantastic idea. There are times when I'm trying to level an DPS character, that I've been in a dilemma between wanting to round off the storyline of an area and also wanting to move forward in my leveling. With the speed of leveling in WoW currently and the boosts that come from guild perks, heirlooms and the like it's very easy to level zones before you're done with the story. You can skip the gray mobs, gray quests and become more efficient if you go to another zone. But it's not the right choice.
And there's also the option to return to old zones or old content at 90, but there's something to be said about experiencing zones at level. https://serverlist101.com/ This could make the game more immersive and more rich in story and replay value. Players would be able spend more time in each zone and have more areas to explore and new characters to play through.
Ladyjbritish and a lot of others demanded. As with the previous this seems like a very sensible idea. You might want to just send across one toon to a different server to try it out, or to trial in raiding guilds, or something similar, but in the end, if the new server is suitable, it's no surprise that players would like to take their whole team over to their new home.
A different commenter said that they would like to see an option implemented at a cost less than that of a new game, and it's a reasonable argument. If the choices are to remain on a dying server or to shell out a massive amount of money to move several characters, or to purchase the game from scratch for lower cost it is logical that players would definitely think of the new game as a feasible option. Yes, you can restart on a different server, but it's quite a wrench to abandon your characters.
A similar update is scheduled for an forthcoming patch. Players will be able to queue for several LFR sections simultaneously However, MaikS89 goes even further by stating that players should be able queue on offline characters. Initial thoughts were positive. It's an excellent way to save time, especially for DPS who have lengthy queues. There are some drawbacks to this idea, but they're far less obvious than the other options. It could make it more difficult for players to play a character for as long. Although you are able to queue for LFR while queued for, and even playing other things the idea of allowing an offline character to queue appears a step too far.
On the other hand, it could allow players who have a main that just needs some LFR gear or valor, as well as many other alts that require some leveling or other gear to complete all of that in a shorter amount of time. I'm still undecided about this, what do you think?
This is a lot more safely a great idea. It could be a problem for server economies if users transfer large quantities of gems and other materials from one server to another to benefit from better markets. But it is possible that this may be a bit limited. As someone who plays on a few servers it would be useful to have access to an account-wide bank that new characters could draw from, or the heirlooms of previous characters could be transferred to different characters. This would solve many problems with minimal inconveniences but it would be a significant improvement in quality of life.
This request is perhaps more specific. Personally, I would like to play across both regions, so that I can spend time in-game with my friends from the EU as well as those in the US on the same accounts, without having to create US-specific accounts just to play across the Atlantic. Although the ping might not be the best but I can still play on the US PTR servers as well as live servers without any difficulty. This is something that could, frankly, be implemented across other games to facilitate cross-region play and accounts. Fantastic idea!
