Albums that have been hidden and recently deleted are now password protected

The hidden album in the Photos App is easily visible and is easily accessible. This makes it very difficult to hide private images or videos. Apple offers an option to make the Hidden Album "invisible" however, anyone with access to it can see the contents and can make it accessible again.

iOS 16 allows you to lock the Hidden album. To turn this feature off, you don't need to do anything. If you'd like to check it out, start the Photos app and go to the Albums tab at the bottom of the screen. Scroll down to reveal a lock beside the Hidden and Recently Deleted album. Face ID or your passcode is required to access the contents.

Share and view saved Wi-Fi passwords Apple allows iOS users to share Wi Fi passwords for a few years now. However it is only possible by placing two Apple devices adjacent to each other. If this feature doesn't work automatically it isn't possible to simply pull the password out of your settings. In addition, if you wanted share your saved Wi-Fi password with someone else, like an Android user or someone who uses computer, you would need to know the password. Until now.

Continue reading your saved Wi-Fi passwords can be viewed now on an iPhone

Go to Settings and click Wi-Fi. Tap the small icon of information to the right of the network you wish to change the password. To view the network's password click on the Password section. Then, you can make use of Face ID or your passcode to access it. To copy the password to your clipboard Click Copy.

There could be duplicate photos or videos. If you have enough space, this may not be an issue. If you don't, it could be worth revisiting your photo album and eliminating every duplicate. This is easy to do on iOS 16.

You should now see a new Duplicates Album under Utilities. This is where Apple scans all your photos and shows you any photo or video you've saved more than once. You can decide to delete duplicates or press Merge to keep the best quality image and all the relevant information. Then, you can transfer the rest to the trash.

You'll need to go through every duplicate to ensure they're not similar photos. To eliminate duplicates, click Select >Select >Merge.

Pin your most-loved tabs to Safari Safari will limit your open tabs at 500, and If you're at the limit, it might be pretty darn hard to locate the tab you're searching for. You could scroll endlessly, but there's now an easier way to find the exact tab you're looking for.

In Safari when you hold down on a tab that is open, you have the option to press Pin Tab. This will shift the tab to the top of Safari where it will display as preview of the tab. You can tap to view it.

Press down to remove tabs. It will be moved to the first tab in your grid.
