Disney created more than hundreds and thousands of short film and "Paperman" is one of them, this black-and-white computer-cel animated romantic comedy short film was made on November 2 of 2012. The story revolves around two random strangers who met coincidentally at the train station and instantly felt a connection, and with the help of fate, destiny, and some paper airplanes, they reunited despite having to defy their employer and some laws of physics.

Jokes aside. At first, I thought this short film would have a sad or depressing ending since the male lead character had this boring, bland, and colorless tone. Then this guy met a lady who looks graceful, which is a complete polar opposite of him, in my opinion. I assumed that the girl was having a bad day, because of the scene where she was running after a piece of paper. She made him smile after their first "sweet" encounter, which did not last long since the lady had to ride in her train. Despite her having a graceful aura, she had this weird look in her face, that I can't get out of my mind, when her train departed. I was giving more thought on her expression, when the next scenes showed that the guy saw the girl... again. But this time she was on another building from where the guy was staying at, she seems to be getting interviewed. Maybe she only made that weird expression when her train departed because she was nervous? Anyway, so the guy tries to get the lady's attention from his building's window. He made paper airplanes out of his paper works, which I think is a foolish decision, he threw away his job just for a woman he even barely knows. He was very dedicated, but his plan did not go well. The girl finished whatever she was doing inside the building and is leaving, she didn't even saw the paper airplanes, let alone him. The guy thought that maybe their encounter is not special, when his boss came and gave him a bunch of paper works. I don't know if he thought that his boss was encouraging him to continue and get her attention, but he really stood back up and started running after her. He once again failed to run after him and lost her out of his sight. The man got sad, but while all this is happening a supernatural or rather "magical" thing has happened that made the paper airplanes fly on their own and even helped the two strangers meet in person. The animation ended when the two strangers made eye contact with each other. Although, I wished that they would have add colors during the last scene to have the impact "the girl gave color to the man's life". Nonetheless, the end still sent chills running through my spine.

I believe that the guy was the personification of paper hence the title "Paperman", he was a blank but then the girl came.
The story really suits my taste, although I thought that the "magic" thing happening is a cliche in the story, it happens mostly on their animations where out of nowhere, magically, a miracle has happened and I'm not much of a fan.
