How to ride a Horse in Minecraft



Follow these steps to train and ride horses in Minecraft:



You can find a saddle or horse armor. These items are available in chests in dungeons and nether fortresses. You may also catch them in fishing.



Find the horse. They are often seen out on plains or in savannas.



To tame the horse to control it, feed it. Continue feeding it until hearts appear above the head of the horse.



The ability to mount a horse that isn't trained is possible however it can be difficult. If you do enough trials and you are successful, you may be able to mount it.



Select the horse with just one hand. You'll mount the horse, but you can't control its movements yet.



Place a Saddle (or Horse Armor) on the horse. Open your inventory and drag your Saddle into the appropriate box beside the horse.



Ride your horse. To dismount you must press the Sneak button. MINECRAFT SERVERS This button varies based on your platform:



PC: Press the Shift key on the left


Xbox: Use the correct joystick


To turn on the joystick, press the right button.


Nintendo: Press the right joystick


Mobile: Tap the center button twice



Pressing the jump button causes the blue/green bar beneath your health to fill up. To jump, release your button before the bar starts to run out.



What do horses eat in Minecraft?



To tame horses in Minecraft you can feed them any of the following items:



- Apples


- Bread


Hay


- Golden Apples


- Golden Carrots


- Sugar


- Wheat



Horse Breeding in Minecraft



After you've successfully tamed your horses, place a fence around them. Give each horse an Golden Apple and Golden Carrot. If you are lucky, you will soon have a little colt. Feed the newborn horse to help it grow into an adult. You should wait at minimum five seconds before trying to breed again.
