Pastor Chris Oyakhilome was a child of faith who was nurtured by a family of faith and was supported by his parents. He is the youngest son of elder T.E Oyakhilome. Angelina, one of the pioneers at the Assemblies, of God Church in Benin City, as well as the matriarch of the Oyakhilome clan. He was called from God to join the ministry and serve the Lord.

His small prayer group, called 'Youth for Christ' would eventually become one of the campus' most well-known groups. Under the leadership of Pastor Chris, LoveWorld became a pioneer of satellite television and Christian programming.
