Fortnite Creative can be an effective tool for learning in the same way that Minecraft can be. It may seem odd to people who aren't in school anymore, but Minecraft's Education edition is very popular, which is probably why Fortnite Creative has courses to help people use both.
The Epic blog posted the course recently and it is specifically designed to aid "secondary educators familiarize with Minecraft how Fortnite Creative can be utilized in the classroom." It comprises 11 videos and shows the various features and mechanics of Fortnite Creative to show users how to make use of it to teach.
The blog post also highlights the two main differences between Minecraft and Fortnite in terms of building. Minecraft, as you may know, is all about putting things together brick by brick, whereas Fortnite offers ready-to-use assets instead. minecraft server hosting Fortnite is theoretically more efficient to build, however it lacks the complexity provided by the programming elements.
Minecraft can be used as a tool for teaching to explain the logic behind coding, thanks to its complex commands and Redstone mechanisms. Things like the Item Placer device allows players to very easily observe how their actions affect the world around them while they're utilized. It makes for a more immediate feedback loop that, as anyone with kids will explain, is an essential component when teaching them. Overall though, it's just kind of wild to see Fortnite talking about inviting Minecraft creators so openly.
