Order Receiving
The e-commerce sales channels should be linked to your warehouse’s management systems . The software at your fulfillment warehouse creates a packing slip after one of your customers places an order. Slips could be written on paper or printed.
Order picking
A warehouse employee selects the items for the order from the shelves after receiving the packing slip. This action serves as the foundation for the pick-and-pack service. In this case, it is necessary to assess the efficiency of the pick and pack procedures and the inventory storage strategy. Different strategies will be more successful depending on the size of your company and the sales volume.
Order packing
The order is delivered to a packing station, where a team packs, labels, and seals it safely for shipping.
Order shipping
On the loading dock, the staff then arranges the orders according to the carrier. They are prepared for pickup by the airlines.
Whether or not to use the pick and pack procedure depends on the goods being processed and whether or not it is the most efficient method to process them.
