A Minecraft map can be whatever you want it be. The appeal of one of the most enjoyable sandbox games is the freedom it gives you to create incredible Minecraft builds or to just take a few years to see how long it takes to mine every single block.
We often witness incredible things due to the combination of the Minecraft playground and the imagination of its users. Some projects are more difficult than others. Today's project is an Minecraft city that took 2,400 hours to build over 2.5 years. This is an amazing commitment and one of the most impressive Minecraft cities we've ever seen.
As an ongoing project, this isn't even the first time this Minecraft map has been uploaded to Reddit and the last posting was in July 2021. "Since my last posting, the city has nearly increased in size by nearly 11 sq km if we include all roads and 40-50 sq km if we take into account the land that has been cleared." As the player flies around, Minecraft is struggling to load all the details and buildings. Roads are also marked with markings. There is even an area that looks like an electric grid. The city is home to over 2000 buildings. It would make for a fantastic map to hunt for, but there's no download available just yet.
