Hey crew,

Finally, as i mentioned in chat, i've managed to find myself some time to write a few words, it's been a hectic few days for us all in Torn, as probably the busiest & most profitable event of the year Helloween got underway. Not only have we hand to contend with the constant stream of incoming attacks & faction chains, we also had the torn servers promptly shit the bed at the immense load, nothing new as the older hands amongst will likely know, but still a little disconcerting & troubling for us all, the good thing is that Ched & his devs seem to have got things back under control again and we can get on our merry way to make a few $$$ for ourselves.

So now to get down to business & to fill in a little about myself & my torn career to date, after which I will befiely talk about the future for our company.

At the moment im using my trading name, as you may have guessed, Midnight_Trader or MT for short, but i have spent quite a bit of my time in torn under the alternative guise of hammi, which to let you know, is actually my nickname IRL, there might be a time when i change back, but don't let that confuse you I will quite happily answer to either, tho most folks that have known me a while just stick with hammi, i dont mind, pick the one you like the most and stick with it, if its easier.

Although im new to this company & the oil rig sector, i have got a good amount of business & company experience behind me. My last venture ALBA Discoveries Cruise Line was the first company I owned and managed within Torn, now in the hand of my spouse keffi, it was a company i started from new & as you can see, is now one of the best in that sector.

The ethos that i used to build that successful business was on based upon bringing together a stable and reliable workforce and then nurturing them and the business together as a family. Many of the crew that I started that company with are still there now, over 2 years laters. It is my plan to use that same business method to grow this company into hopefully one of the top in the rig sector.

This by no means will be an easy task, it will take time, plenty of hardwork & commitment to get there, but it is my hope that if we build the right crew, then that is something we can be successfully achieve in the future.

It is important though to understand that to achieve this it will require a certain level of commitment by us all, After having spoken with Inf187 at great length as part of the purchase process, i came to feel that he had already put much work into bringing together the crew that we have now, and that this crew was already very committed to the job at hand. It was this more than anything that made me feel this was the right company for me to invest my time & energies in.

Now we all know that torn is just a game, but i'm sure just like me, there are probably of few who border on the feeling that game is life, its not, RL is important and that real life can sometimes interfere with game, that is understandable and is just part & parcel of our torn careers. It can be managed though, but it can only be managed if we are truthful, understanding & honest with each other.

I am not the boss who will be looking to dismiss staff for the slightest infraction, period of inactivity or for a little drug addiction, but i will expect you to work with me and keep me up to date about anything that could affect the viability & profitability of the company, in return i will try my utmost to keep you with the company and to support you and your torn goals & aims.

I as your boss promise to never sell trains, i will always try never to miss allocating those trains and they will always be on an equal & rotational basis.

Over the coming few weeks I will detail my procedures for inactivity & dismissal and i will look at providing as much information as i can to help you with managing your addiction levels well. Although at this moment i can not conclusively tell you what levels of addiction will be acceptable or viable within the company, i do hope that we will all be able to work together to find a happy medium.

Finally before I leave you tonight, i would like to ask one slight favour, when any of you do wish to ever leave for other companies, avenues or torn goals and aims, could you please notify me in advance.I have had many staff before who wished to leave, only to use books and with a bit of forewarning I have actually been able to provide cover for them to return at a later date.

Please do not be afraid to talk to me, i might appear to be a young hound at heart, but i'm actually an aging 54 year old grandpa with a wealth of experience in many areas, not only within torn, but also within the wider world of real life.
