To increase the number of people who are connected to SimCity during the initial launch phase that is plagued by intermittent (at the very least) access and data loss, EA has begun adding more servers to the online-only game.
"What we're doing is to deploy more servers over the next two days, which will help solve a lot of the ongoing issues," senior producer Kip Katsarellis told the EA forum. "We also pay attention to all bug reports that we receive from our fans. We've already pushed a few updates in the past few days. Our live ops team works 24/7 to resolve any issues and ensure bugs are addressed in the game as quickly as is possible.

EA announced on Tuesday that Origin services will be "stable" for international launches scheduled later in the week. Despite that confidence, the Oceanic servers crashed during the time of launch today.
