Minecraft mobs are the living entities of Minecraft which is short for mobile, they can be adorable, but sometimes you'll see aggressive creatures roaming the various biomes of the blocky universe. They will respond to you or other players, as well as other mobs.
Minecraft mobs are prone to the same environmental changes and physics that affect players, such as being able to catch fire or drowning. They are able to be killed and attacked with weapons, and after being killed drop resources and experience points Mobs that are hostile drop rarer items from time to time.
In Creative mode, Minecraft mobs will never attack you, but they can be divided into three behavioural categories in Survival and Hardcore modes, which include passive, neutral and hostile. Utility mobs such as the iron golem and snowgolem can be created to help you in fighting off hostile mobs. Mobs that trust you are unable to be controlled, however they can be interacted with in unique ways. These include dolphins, ocelots and even the adorable Minecraft Fox. Here's a list listing all the mobs and monsters which can be encountered in the vast Minecraft landscape.
Minecraft passive mobs
Minecraft passive mobs won't attack you, and will flee when they are attacked. They also breed, and you will see babies in the same area. Most mobs that are passive can be tamed, in the event that they aren't already tamed, for instance, horses in Minecraft. There are also Minecraft village inhabitants like traders and villager. Other farmyard friends can also provide resources, such as wool from sheeps or cows' milk.

Minecraft bees are found in flower forests and plains, or beehives made from wood planks and honeycomb.

Minecraft hostile mobs
Hostile mobs in Minecraft are dangerous and aggressive and can attack you within a certain area, usually 16 blocks, with no obstruction. Some mobs can detect you up to 100 blocks away. Flying mobs , like the Minecraft Phantom, appear above and attempt to swoop down and attack you. A boss mob is a particular kind of enemy that has a greater detection range and more health. Examples include the Minecraft Ender Dragon and the Minecraft Wither.
