En av de kända konstnärer under renässansen var Leonardo de vinci.
Mona Lisa: Mona lisa som även är känd för La Gioconda, är fru till Francesco del Giocondo. Denna figur ska föreställa en kvinna som är klädd i sin tids florentinska mode där hon sitter i ett visionärt och bergigt landskap. Mona lisas gåtfulla uttryck som är lockerande för många, har gett porträttet universell berömmelse. Denna porträtten ägs av Frankrikes regering och finns på väggen i Louvren i Paris, Frankrike.
Landscape for Santa Maria Della Neve: Detta var en av Leonardos kändast teckning som han har gjort. Denna teckningen har han ritat i detalj som visar dalen av Arno och Montelupo slott. Det handlar om Leonardos barndom, utforskade under långa vandringar i bergen medans han fortfarande bodde med sin familj, och hans farbror Francesco som var hans första lekkamrat. Leonard visade ett intresse på saker från hans barndom, som han sedan samlade ihop tillsammans. Han samlade allt från löv till annorlunda formade träbitar, från små djur till blommor osv. Denna teckningen är daterad 5 augusti 1473 och hänger nu i Uffizierna i Florens.
