Bernhard Burgener, David Degen and their disagreement over FC Basel's owner is just the beginning of their dispute. Burgener has the support of the Board of Directors. However, it is not possible to come to an agreement.

The shares of Burgener may be sold to minor shareholders by the Board of Directors under the provisions of a contractually formulated law. As per the Board of Directors this so-called drag along right overrides Degen's pre-sales right.

Degen insists on exercising his right to first refusal, which he wants to exercise in exchange for 16.4 million Francs.
