Another issue is the owner dispute over FC Basel between Bernhard Burgener and David Degen. The morning of Monday saw the meeting of FC Basel Holding AG's Board Directors. Burgener and Degen were joined by Karl Odermatt (and Peter von Buren) on the four-member committee which approved the plans of the former owner. According to a statement issued by the holding company, he requested Degen to sell his stake in Basel Dream & Vision AG.

Centricus, an British asset management firm is also a potential stake. Burgener will remain the most popular vote.
