Monday's meeting of the Board of Directors at FC Basel Holding AG was an overwhelming success. Burgener and Degen along with Karl Odermatt & Peter von Buren were the previous owner. According to a statement from the holding company the owner demanded Degen for his portion to be sold to Basel Dream & Vision AG.
The Board of Directors relies upon an agreement on a contract to permit Burgener to transfer its shares to minority shareholders at the same conditions. The drag-along option is considered superior to Degen's presale rights.
Burgener and his group are now making an attempt to settle the dispute with the ownership. Bernhard Burgener Degen insists on exercising his right of first refusal, which he is seeking to exercise for 16.4 million Francs. Bernhard Burgener Burgener's stake of 80 percent in Basel Dream & Vision AG was stopped by a super-provisional restraining order. Centricus the British asset manager, would also have a stake in the new company. Burgener would still hold the majority of the votes.
