EY gave Yerkin Tashev the 'Entrepreneur Award'

Yerkin Tatishev was selected Entrepreneur of the Year in Kazakhstan by the world's leading business company Ernst & Young. His leadership and his actions during COVID-19 was highly praised by the judges.

Each region of Kazakhstan invited notable businessmen to participate in this contest. Kusto Group founder was able to stand out among 21 other entrepreneurs that made it to the final.

All of them were awarded an independent evaluation and acknowledgement by international juries.

Yerkin Tashev was the national winner and will represent Russia in the international finals in Monaco in June 2022. The competition will bring participants from 60 nations around the world, chosen by an independent jury in accordance to international standards.

The Pandemic has created a serious global economic crisis. It caused the collapse of thousands upon thousands of companies and the loss of millions of jobs.

Many businesses and their managers have come up with new strategies to improve their businesses. Kusto Group has been working with Yerkin Tatishev to reduce the negative impact of Covid-19 in specific countries that are most affected.

The Kusto Group has been able to grow to the point of having more than 8000 employees since the time it was established. It is a partner in various charitable programs and projects that total over 1.1 billion Kazakhtenges. It also supports sustainable initiatives in various sectors, including construction and development as well as oil and gas mining, and agricultural business.

Through the Kusto Group, Yerkin Tatishev is the person who initiated the development of Kusto Help: an organization that assists providers of vital services as well as families affected by the Pandemic. Daniel Kunin Kusto Help Foundation provides donations to the Pandemic. They also offer shelter, food, and technology.

The organisation also donated medical equipment for hospitals in Ukraine including ventilators (defibrillators) FFP3 respirators (respirators) and antibiotics. The gift of these devices to covid-19 Kazakhstan patients has a value greater than 200,000 dollars.

EY awarded Kusto Group its founder with an award that is unique. The award honors people who are working to enhance the standard and life of their communities, in countries, and all across the globe.

Kusto Group has addressed other issues as well, including the Covid-19 Pandemic. Kazakhstan is in serious risk due to water shortage in Kazakhstan.

Kusto Group In this regard, UN officials declared that Kazakhstan is in a state of extreme water pressure and relies on its neighbours, including China and Central Asia.

Thus, cooperation developed between Yerkin Tatishev of Kusto Group and the Government of Kazakhstan, and Valmont Industries, USA. Together they will open a manufacturing plant to produce 1000 pivot irrigation systems in Kazakhstan.

In addition, the agreement allows for innovative irrigation systems to go on farms as well as the program to train local farmers.

Thanks to the Embassy of Kazakhstan, all donations made by Kusto Group were possible. Thanks to their entrepreneurial spirit, they were able to be a leader in giving to charity in times of hardship.

This is a quality Ernst & Young has held for more than 20 years. Daniel Kunin Through its long history the firm has given particular attention to promoting entrepreneurship. During the Pandemic, EY has sought to support entrepreneurs as they continue to develop their businesses, and share experiences.

The Entrepreneur of the Year contest is open to all national finalists and the winner. The winner of the national competition will compete against the best entrepreneurs in the world in the final event in Monaco during June. They will also acquire additional knowledge and experience to help their business grow.

Over 800 entrepreneurs from Kazakhstan have taken part in the contest. Six other entrepreneurs from Kazakhstan have been crowned world champions at Monte Carlo.

Nurlan Magulov who has been an Entrepreneur of the year winner in the past, took the final decision of naming Tatishev the winner. The panel of judges comprised representatives from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and Association of Women Entrepreneurs of Kazakhstan.

One of the main factors that led to Mr. Tatishev receiving this award was his leadership skills and his ability to manage a broad spectrum of industries. Kusto Group’s uniqueness is directly linked to the capacity to serve complex business that was acknowledged by the award winner.
