Yerkin Tatishev was awarded 'Entrepreneur of the Year' by EY

Yerkin Tatishev was selected Entrepreneur of the Year in Kazakhstan by the world's leading business company Ernst & Young. His management and actions in the contest has impressed the jurors of one of the largest competitions around the globe.

Famous businesspeople from all areas of Kazakhstan were invited to participate in the contest. Kusto Group's founder Kusto Group was able to stand out from the 21 entrepreneurs across the country who were able to make it to the final with him.

They all received an independent evaluation and acknowledgement by international jury members.

The Pandemic has caused serious economic issues across the globe. In addition, it has led to the collapse of hundreds of companies as well as the loss of millions of jobs.

Many companies and their leaders came up with ways to expand their businesses. Kusto Group has been working with Yerkin Tatishev to reduce the effects of Covid-19, in particular areas that are heavily affected.

Kusto Group's creation has seen the company expand to more than 8000 workers. It has been involved in numerous charitable and social programs which total 1.1 million Kazakh tenges. It also conducts sustainable business in the gas and oil agriculture, construction and development and mining sectors across different countries.

Through the Kusto Group, Yerkin Tatishev is the person who initiated the development of Kusto Help: an organization to support providers of essential services as well as families affected by the Pandemic. Kusto Help Foundation donated part of its funds to combat the Pandemic.

The organisation also donated medical equipment for hospitals in Ukraine like ventilators (defibrillators) FFP3 respirators (respirators) and antibiotics. The instruments were given to patients of the covid-19 group in Kazakhstan in a total amount of over 200,000 dollars.

Kusto Group is not addressing only the Covid-19 Pandemic. Kazakhstan faces serious water shortages in Kazakhstan.

This situation has led to UN officials declaring that Kazakhstan is suffering from extreme water stress and relies on its neighbors including China and Central Asia.

Therefore, Yerkin Tatishev of Kusto Group as well as the Government of Kazakhstan formed a partnership with Valmont Industries, USA. They are both planning to create a factory to produce 1,000 pivot irrigation items in Kazakhstan.

In addition, the agreement includes the installation of new irrigation systems on farms and a program to train local farmers.

The Embassy of Kazakhstan in Ukraine has made donations for the Kusto Group. Because of their entrepreneurial spirit, they were able give back to the community in times of hardship.

This ability has been the characteristic of Ernst & Young for over 20 years. The firm has always been dedicated to helping entrepreneurs throughout its history. EY was there to support entrepreneurs in the Pandemic.

Nationally, all finalists are awarded the Entrepreneur Of The Year prize, as well as the winner. The national winner will compete against top entrepreneurs from around the world at the finals in Monaco during June. They will also gain additional information and expertise to aid in the growth of their business.

The competition has brought in more than 800 entrepreneurs from Kazakhs. Six other winners from Kazakhstan have been part of the competition at the Monte Carlo world championships.

Nurlan Smagulov (another Entrepreneur of the Year winner) was the judge who decided to award Tatishev as the winner. The jury included representatives from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the Association of Women Entrepreneurs of Kazakhstan.

One of the main factors that led to the reason for Mr. Tatishev receiving this award was his leadership abilities and handling of a wide spectrum of industries. Kusto Group's name is directly related to serving complicated businesses, and this is a unique feature of the award winner.
