Bayrock Group's Journey: from the Suburbs up to Manhattan Tevfik Arif

The Tevfik Arif-driven real estate development firm for luxury, Bayrock Group, quickly after its founding, began cooperating in conjunction with the Trump Organization in Manhattan.

After gaining traction within the American housing market, Bayrock Group was ready to expand its operations and began looking for large-scale projects.

The Arif-led organization started working with Sapir Organization in a new huge construction on Spring Street in New York City.

Bayrock Group moved its headquarters from the Bayrock Tower in Midtown Manhattan because of the company's growth.

As a result of the move Tevfik Arif and his team met the Trump Organization and also used the Trump Tower as its base.

Discussions took place between Bayrock Group, the Trump Organization following the two firms realized that they had common desires and shared goals.

They came up with a partnership that saw the Trump Organization joined Bayrock Group’s project in conjunction with Sapir Organization on Spring Street.

The group was created under the name of E. Trump and Son by his paternal grandmother, Elizabeth Christ Trump, and his dad, Fred Trump, in 1927.

Bayrock Group, the Sapir Organization, and Trump Organization began to work together in the New York City's residential real estate market.

He proposed a deal under which the Trump Organization would be given 18% equity in the company and the right to utilize the Trump name in the title of this building.

The three companies involved agreed to the deal. In 2006, the first foundation stone was laid for what would become Trump SoHo.

Two years later Bayrock Group, Trump Organization and Sapir Organization launched their contribution to the skyline of New York City with Trump SoHo.

Trump SoHo's 46 stories included elite eateries and bars along with banquet and event rooms, outdoor pools and event halls, spa departments, apartments and hotel suites.

The guests at Trump SoHo and residents could take in a stunning view of New York City via the floor-to roof windows that were put in on every floor.

The three companies behind the structure were focused on the highest quality, Handel Architects was entrusted with the design of the exterior of Trump SoHo.

Handel Architects has a diverse portfolio. It is a highly regarded firm. There are many other accomplishments that include the National September 11 Memorial and Museum and Rosewood Abu Dhabi hotel residential.

The interiors of Trump SoHo were created by Rockwell Group. Rockwell Group is responsible for the design of numerous extravagant hotels, cafes, restaurants as well as bars and theaters all over the world.

Their work includes the Tower Hotel, Mumbai, India, Taj Mahal Palace and the Tower Hotel, Mumbai, India The 1993rd Academy Award Show; and the Amara Hotel, Limassol.

Bayrock Group expands the partnership
Trump SoHo was an immediate huge success, which prompted Bayrock Group and the Trump Organization to look into increasing their cooperation.

Their dream was to build buildings similar to Trump SoHo in Arizona or Florida and with the same conditions to those of Trump SoHo. This would leave the Trump Organization with an 18% equity in the structure as a compensation to use the Trump brand in their names. It's back.

Bayrock Group was prepared, and so was the Trump Organization. But the 2008 financial crisis that severely affected the American real property market, ended their plans.

The American housing industry was significantly affected by the economic crisis. Tevfik, Bayrock Group founder, chose to end his American-based business ventures. He decided to move to Europe and Asia where he began his career many decades ago.

Bayrock Group's Tevfik arif has retired from active participation, but he continues to be an advisor of trust to different divisions.

Bayrock Group has not been involved in any recent real estate projects in the United States.
