What is VIAGRA and what is it used for?


VIAGRA contains the active substance sildenafil which belongs to the group of drugs called phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitors. VIAGRA works by relaxing the blood vessels in the penis, favoring blood circulation in the penis when you are sexually aroused.

VIAGRA will help you get an erection only if you are sexually stimulated.

Viagra is intended for adult men with erectile dysfunction, sometimes also known as impotence. This condition consists in the lack or impossibility of maintaining the erection of the penis in order to perform the sexual act.

What you need to know before using VIAGRA

Do not use VIAGRA

if you are allergic to sildenafil or any of the other components of this medicine (listed in point 6);
if you use medicines called nitrates because this combination can lead to a dangerous drop in blood pressure. Tell your doctor if you are taking any of these medicines that are usually given to treat angina pectoris ("chest pain"). If you are not sure, ask your doctor or pharmacist;
if you use any of the medicines known as nitric oxide donors, such as amyl nitrite because this combination can lead to a dangerous drop in blood pressure;
if you have a severe heart or liver disease;
if you have recently had a stroke or myocardial infarction, or you have hypotension;
if you are born with certain rare eye diseases (such as retinitis pigmentosa);
if you have ever had vision loss due to anterior ischemic, non-arteritic optic neuropathy (NOAIN).



Warnings and precautions

Before using VIAGRA, contact your doctor, pharmacist or nurse:

if you have sickle cell disease (a disease of red blood cells), leukemia (cancer of blood cells), multiple myeloma (cancer of the bone marrow);
if you have a deformity of the penis or Peyronie's disease;
if you have heart disease. Your doctor must carefully examine whether the condition of your heart allows you to sustain the additional effort of sexual intercourse;
if you have an active gastric ulcer or bleeding disorders (such as hemophilia);
if you have a sudden episode of decrease or loss of vision, stop taking VIAGRA and contact your doctor immediately.

비아그라 판매 should not use VIAGRA together with any other oral or topical treatment for erectile dysfunction.

You should not use VIAGRA together with treatments for high pulmonary arterial pressure (PAH) that contain sildenafil or any other PDE5 inhibitor.

You should not use VIAGRA if you do not know that you have erectile dysfunction.

You should not use VIAGRA if you are a woman.

Special information for patients with kidney or liver diseases

You must inform your doctor if you suffer from kidney or liver diseases. Your doctor can set you a lower dose.

Children and teenagers

VIAGRA should not be given to people under the age of 18.

VIAGRA together with other medicines

Tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are using, have recently used or might use any other medicines.

VIAGRA can interfere with the action of other medicines, especially those used for chest pain. In case of any medical emergencies, you must inform your doctor, pharmacist or nurse that you have used VIAGRA and when you used it. Do not use other medicines at the same time as VIAGRA except with your doctor's permission.

You should not take VIAGRA if you are taking medicines called nitrates because the combination of these medicines can lead to a dangerous drop in blood pressure. Tell your doctor, pharmacist or nurse if you are taking any of these medicines that are commonly used to treat angina pectoris ("chest pain").

You should not take VIAGRA if you are using any of the medicines known as nitric oxide donors, such as amyl nitrite because this combination can lead to a dangerous drop in blood pressure.

If you are also using medicines known as protease inhibitors, medicines used to treat HIV infection, your doctor may recommend that you start with the lowest dose of VIAGRA (25 mg).

Some patients using alpha-adrenergic blocking drugs to treat high blood pressure or prostate enlargement may experience dizziness or confusion that may be caused by a drop in blood pressure that occurs when standing or standing up too suddenly. Some patients had these manifestations when they took VIAGRA at the same time as alpha-blocker drugs. The manifestations appear most frequently in the first 4 hours after taking VIAGRA. To reduce the likelihood of these symptoms, treatment with the alpha-blocker drug should be followed with a constant daily dose before starting treatment with VIAGRA.

The doctor may recommend that you start treatment with VIAGRA with a lower dose (25 mg).
