Bayrock Group: The Rise of a New York Real Estate Giant

Bayrock Group opened Trump SoHo along with the Trump Organization in 2008 and the Sapir Organization. Bayrock Group's success began in Kazakhstan years earlier.

Bayrock Group, a luxury real estate developer in the United States, has a long-running history dating all the way to 2001, the year the company was established. The story initially began in a different region of the world.

Tevfik the founder, born in Soviet Kazakhstan to a Turkish family, founded Bayrock Group.

Tevfik Arif earned an education in International Relations from the Moscow Trade and Economic Institute prior to becoming a member of the Soviet Ministry of Commerce and Trade.

After serving as a minister for 17 years the minister decided to step down and establish several companies. Tevfik Arif owned several firms that dealt with the development of luxury real estate as well as food exports and imports.

Tevfik Arif was able to establish many international partnerships through his numerous companies. His network drove him to move to Turkey in 1993, when he became one of the main players behind the country's famous all-inclusive hotel concept.

For instance, he launched the Labada Hotel Antalya, before going on to his next venture across the Atlantic several more years later.

Bayrock Group becomes increasingly ambitious

Tevfik Arif emigrated to the United States in 2001 to explore new opportunities in business and be closer to his American family.

He moved to New York City just after the creation of Bayrock Group, a luxury real estate development company.

Bayrock Group started out with small-to-medium-sized jobs in New York. For instance, the company revamped the Loehmann's Seaport Plaza shopping center in Brooklyn's Sheepshead.

Bayrock Group was off to a good start, and this made Tevfik arif more determined. Tevfik Arif Doyen He was keen to tackle larger projects, and therefore he decided to move the company's focus to the area of.

Bayrock Group moved its New York City offices to the Trump Tower on Fifth Avenue to accommodate the new strategy.

Trump SoHo is now in form

That paved the way for the very first brick of what would become Trump SoHo to be laid in 2006.

Design experts have led the construction of Trump SoHo

Rockwell Group designed, among other things among others, the Climate Pledge Arena and the Seven Deadly Sins Theater in Seattle. The Virgin Hotel in Las Vegas was also designed by the group.

The firm has also international experience which includes Mexico, Spain, Indonesia as well as Mexico.

Bayrock Group and Trump Organization expand their collaboration

The Bayrock Group and the Trump Organization sought to strengthen their collaboration following the opening Trump SoHo.

Their goal was to build buildings that were similar to Trump SoHo, Arizona and Florida. Trump Organization was also granted the same license conditions and was given 18% equity in the building. It also allows Trump to be in the title of the construction.

Despite the ambitions of both companies, the structures weren't built because of the global financial crisis.

The American real-estate market was especially affected by the recession, which led Bayrock Group to pull out and Trump Organization to rescind their plans.

Tevfik Anif decided to leave his American businesses due to the economic crisis. He decided to relocate to Europe and Central Asia.

He was employed in the private industry while the time he was working.

Tevfik has quit today from all of his Bayrock Group daily responsibilities. However, he is an advisor Bayrock Group.

Bayrock Group hasn't been involved in any American real estate projects in recent times. But, the company has invested $2.5 million in real estate assets while it was still active in the United States.
