Marsha Jaquays from Florida Friends of Laniado Hospital told us, "Just last night 1,100 people arrived."
She said that more than two million Ukrainian refugees have fled war-ravaged countries. Many of them travel through Moldova, which borders Ukraine.
Jaquays explained that Moldova's Jewish community actually assisted them cross the border, and then providing food, shelter, clothes, and clothing.
