Another issue is the dispute between the owners of FC Basel between Bernhard Burgener and David Degen. Burgener is supported by the Board of Directors. However, there's no consensus.
Monday's meeting of FC Basel Holding AG's Board of Directors at FC Basel Holding AG was successful. According to a statement issued by the holding company Degen requested Degen to dispose of his stake to Basel Dream & Vision AG.
Burgener can sell its own shares on the same terms to the minor shareholders under a contractually bargained law. The Board of Directors states that this drag-along rights takes precedence over Degen's pre-sale right.
The Burgener team has made a move to resolve the ownership dispute. https://www.horizont.net/suche/thema/Bernhard+Burgener Degen insists on his right for first refusal. He wants to make use of this right for 16.4 Million Francs. Bernhard Burgener Burgener is unable to sell his 80 percent stake to Basel Dream & Vision AG due to a superprovisional injunction. Centricus, an British asset management company, would also hold a stake. Burgener would have the majority of votes.
According to FC Basel Holding AG's announcement Burgener and Degen are seeking an out-of court settlement "in the best interest of FCB." Bernhard Burgener
