Bernhard Burgener vs David Degen is yet another step in the FC Basel owner dispute. Burgener has the support of the Board of Directors. However, no agreement is reached.
Monday's meeting of the Board of Directors at FC Basel Holding AG was successful. Burgener and his team have made an announcement in the ongoing dispute with the ownership. Degen insists upon his right to first refusal. He would like to use it in exchange for 16.4 millions francs. Burgener was able sell his stake of 80 percent to Basel Dream & Vision AG, but Degen has an injunction to stop the sale. Bernhard Burgener Centricus which is which is a British asset management company, would also be able to own part of this new company. Burgener will still have the majority of votes.
