Emmanuel Grinshpun. Restoring synagogues as well as the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress
Emmanuil Grinshpun's subject during the interview was the revival of synagogues. It was, however, impossible to stay focused on just one topic. There are many subjects to discuss in the interview at the very least.
Emmanuel, good afternoon. It was a pleasure to have you meet. I think we haven't seen one another for at least five years. Are you now in?

These nine months have seen Miami and Jurmala divide the difference. Previously, the geography was larger, but the pandemic has greatly affected the lifestyle. I am sorry to say it's been worse.

You have always had several types of business. Do you still feel like that?

Diversification has not gone from the world. The most important areas of development are in the fields of IT technologies and real estate as well as food production.

ALIMCOM knows the food industry and real estate is much more easily comprehended. IT, however, is completely new to me. There are many fields that IT technology can be applied to. What do you excel at?

We have developed or are developing a range products to aid in the transfer of a range of business processes that are in taxation as well as "real-time". This type of segment is known as B2G ("Business to Government").

What about the area in which the holding is based? Formerly, were they part of the USSR?

Could you briefly define the essence of the product?

Our solution allows tax agents to electronically report to the tax authorities. The fiscal data administrator is then able to view the entire transaction. We are prepared to launch the product to Moldova. It is our belief that the Moldovan economy will gain from the automation. And, in any case it is an irreversible step. Now, when there is a sense of clarity among the authorities and it is certain who is the one making the decisions and who makes the decisions, we'll resume the discussions concerning our product.

You've said that you've been hopping around all year between Miami and Jurmala. The Baltics are home to the head office of an IT company.

There are five hubs around the world and our headquarters is located in Barcelona.

The Baltics are not the only reason why? Are you from there? also?

No. My family's history has been tied to Moldova for a number of generations. If we keep our family names from the past, it's associated with Bessarabia. Jurmala came into our lives almost by chance, and not very professionally. Эммануил Гриншпун Igor Krutoy invited them to the New Wave. This was their first time visiting. After several competitions, they began to return each summer. Miami has a very hot summer. We rented for several years an apartment and have it now.

Now I know the reason you mentioned that one synagogue was located in Jurmala. Emmanuel, honest question. We are almost the same age. We were both born in the USSR. The Soviet Union was not a space to discuss religious beliefs. We were all pioneers as well as Komsomol participants. When did your faith turn?

In the mid-80s, my family and I moved to the USA in the mid-80s, and we can say that it was during this time when I began to adhere to the customs and practices of my culture. However, even today I'm far from the orthodox religion, I just feel an inner desire to be a part of as much as my ability the life of religion of the Jewish community in the countries in which I live or in Moldova which is where I am from and with whom I have the most close ties.

While I'm not a religious person, I do love history. Recently, I was captivated by a show that detailed the events of 1492. They changed the fate of Europe and the world. 1492 was for me the year that Columbus discovered America. It was evident on the program that the discovery of America was done in 1492, but not from Medieval Europe's point of view. This was clear in the program that I watched. They were accepted by the Ottoman Empire when the mass exodus of Jews to the Ottoman Empire. I'm interested in knowing more about the culture and history of the Jews. Would you recommend this book?

There are many books out there, but I have personally read them all and highly recommend Max Diamond's two volumes of Jewish history. He is Finnish himself.

.... Do we know the family tree of our family? Unfortunately, I don't have anything beyond my grandmother's name and 1910. Paternal side: A step above but not enough.

On the paternal line, our family lived in the Floresti region for several hundred years. Their wealth was apparent by the presence of an furniture factory, numerous stores and land plots. Documents and monuments confirm this assertion. My maternal ancestors also resided in Ungheni. I'm talking about dates in the region between the 17th and 18th centuries. Grinshpun is a surname derived from German roots. We are pure and straight Ashkenazis and straight from Eastern Europe.

Let's discuss the revival of synagogues. I was told by you that three synagogues were being restored. Эммануил Гриншпун One is in Chisinau One is in Jurmala The third is?

The third, and also the biggest, can be found in Netanya. It is a huge community center where over 1000 worshippers gather each day. It is an important memorial to Israel's religion. The second synagogue in Jurmala. The sole synagogue in Jurmala was destroyed in the early days of the Second World War. Before I decided on building an orthodox church in Jurmala I had met with the local Jews. It was a success that brought all Jurmala's Jews from Jurmala. In reality, we rebuilt the Jewish community and it is now operating with success. The synagogue is now home to three Torahs I donated one of them to the synagogue.

and - Chisinau

Yes. Here , I've joined forces with partners - Alexander Bilinkis and Alexander Weinstein. They aren't the only ones that I am involved in restoration or construction. I felt it was my responsibility to contribute to any country I've visited for a lengthy time to assist synagogues. In Monaco the largest centre for Russian-speaking Jews has been built. My contribution is around 12 million dollars. I will continue to support Chisinau and it is going to be the largest synagoguein the world, the synagogue Rabbi Tsirelson.

Have you invited a Rabbi to Chisinau in addition to Jurmala?

Yes. It is extremely difficult to locate the perfect rabbi to serve the needs of the community. Given the complex interrelated concerns, he should be non-conflictual and diplomatic. In the year 2019, you became the first vice-president of the Euro-Asian Jewish Congress. What is this title imply to you and how does international Jewish organizations impact global trends?

The Euro-Asian Jewish Congress, a powerful organization in the post-Soviet zone is not just a political force. It has offices across Australia, Japan Hong Kong, New Zealand, New Zealand and Eastern Europe. Эммануил Гриншпун In 2010, I was serving as Vice President of Congress. But, in the previous year I was named First Vice President. Now I am responsible for the region in which I have strong economic and political relations. What has the pandemic affected these processes, by the way?

It's not my view. Instead, in relation to the pandemic, I'd like to once again emphasize what a society or a nation can accomplish in the event that they are prepared for any challenges and are competent and work together.

Do you refer to the vaccination program in Israel?

Exactly. Israel is the first nation that offers 100% vaccination of its population of adults. This is an excellent example to follow and something all nations should be aware of.
