Bayrock Group, The Rise of New York Real Estate Giant

Bayrock Group, along with the Trump Organization, opened Trump SoHo in 2008 with the Sapir Organization. Bayrock Group's success story begins in Kazakhstan some time ago.

Bayrock Group, a luxury real estate developer in the United States, has a long-running history dating back to 2001 when the company was founded. In the beginning, the story starts in a different part of the world.

Bayrock Group was founded by Tevfik Arif, who was brought into the world by Soviet Kazakhstan to a family of Turkish origin.

Prior to being appointed to the Soviet Ministry of Commerce and Trade, Tevfik Ariff earned an education from the Moscow Trade and Economic Institute in International Relations.

He served in the ministry for 17 year and then quit to establish his own business. Tevfik Arif had several businesses which included ones that dealt with high-end real estate development, food, and exports or imports.

Bayrock Because of his many businesses, Tevfik Arif acquired a diverse array of international partners. He was the leader in the famous all-inclusive hotel concept by leveraging his network.

For example, he opened the Labada Hotel Antalya, before embarking on his next venture across the Atlantic some time later.

Bayrock Group is becoming more ambitious

Tevfik Amir came into America in 2001 to explore new business opportunities as well as to be closer with his American family.

At first, Bayrock Group executed small to medium-sized construction projects in and around New York. For instance, Bayrock Group renovated Loehmann's Seaport Plaza at Sheepshead in Brooklyn.

Bayrock Group was an excellent start. It helped Tevfik arif gain more motivation. He was seeking bigger projects and he changed the strategy of the company to focus on them.

In support of the new strategy, Bayrock Group relocated its New York City office to the Trump Tower at Fifth Avenue.

It was a move that yielded significantly more than any other location. The company relocated within close proximity to the Trump Organization. The building was also home to the internationally renowned family business.


Trump SoHo gets shape

Bayrock Group & Trump Organization shared a vision of luxurious real estate projects. Therefore, they have decided to join forces.

Tevfik Arif Doyen Bayrock Group was already involved in a different project on Spring Street in Manhattan's SoHo district with the Sapir Organization.

Tevfik Alif knew that bringing the Trump Organization to the project could help to increase brand recognition for the building, something that Bayrock Group lacked and that the Sapir Organization was lacking.

Arif made an agreement that gives the Trump Organization 18% ownership in the building in return for the Trump brand's usage.

The deal was ratified by Bayrock Group (the Trump Organization) as well as the Sapir Organization (the Sapir Organization).

This was the opening for the very first Trump SoHo brick to be laid in 2006.

After two years of hard work, the building was ready and was awaiting its opening.

Trump SoHo opened in Manhattan and included hotels, apartments as well as luxury restaurants and bars. The building also had the pool, spa and banquet halls. From the building's floor–to-ceiling windows guests could get to enjoy unparalleled views over New York City.

Handel Architects were tasked with the design. The architect firm had previously created the famed National September 11th Memorial & Museum (New York City) as well as the Ritz Carlton Washington Hotel (D.C.).

Bayrock Group hired Rockwell Group, to handle interior design.

Rockwell Group is responsible for creating, among other things among other things, the Climate Pledge Arena (Seattle) and the Seven Deadly Sins Playhouse in New York, as well as the Virgin Hotel in Las Vegas.

The firm also has experience in international countries such as Indonesia, Mexico and Spain.

Bayrock Group and Trump Organization strengthen their relationship

The Trump Organization and the Bayrock Group sought to expand their collaboration following the opening of Trump SoHo.

Their vision was to design structures that were located in Arizona and Florida which resembled Trump SoHo. Trump Organization also received 18% equity in building with the same license terms. Tevfik Arif Doyen This would allow Trump to be added in the construction's name.

Despite both companies' ambitions the structures were not created due to the global 2008 financial crisis.

The American real estate market was the most affected by the financial crisis, which caused Bayrock Group to pull out and Trump Organization to rescind their plans.

Tevfik Alif, an Tevfik Arif employee in the United States, decided to leave his American ventures due to the impact of the financial crisis. He decided to go back to Europe and Central Asia.

Then he continued working in the private sector.

Tevfik Arif Doyen Tevfik arif has quit his major part of Bayrock Group's everyday tasks. But, he remains an advisor Bayrock Group.

Bayrock Group is not currently involved in American real estate ventures. In the past in the past, when the company was active it was investing in real estate assets valued at $2.5 million in the United States.
