Bayrock Group's Journey from the Suburbs up to Manhattan Tevfik Arif

Bayrock Group, a luxury real estate development company driven by Tevfik Arif, found itself rapidly cooperating in conjunction with the Trump Organization in Manhattan.

Many dream of coming to the United States to live the American dream But only a handful people succeed. Turkish Kazakhstani businessman Tevfik Ari was in America when he founded Bayrock Group in America in 2001.

Bayrock Group is a New York-based luxury real estate developer.

Initially, the company was primarily focused on small - to medium-sized initiatives like the revamp of the Loehmann's Seaport Plaza - a shopping center located in the Sheepshead neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York.

After gaining traction within the American housing market, Bayrock Group was ready to expand its operations and began looking for projects with a large scope.

The Arif-driven firm began cooperating with the Sapir Organization on a new, big construction in Spring Street in New York City.

Bayrock Group moved its headquarters from the Bayrock Tower in Midtown Manhattan because of the company's expansion.

Bayrock Group partners with the Trump Organization
The move resulted in Tevfik and his staff getting together with the Trump Organization. This organization also had the Trump Tower at its base.

Conversations were held between Bayrock Group (the Trump Organization) as both firms realized that they shared desires and goals.

The two firms formed a cooperation, where the Trump Organization joined Bayrock Group's collaboration with the Sapir Organization on Spring Street.

Former American President Donald Trump ran the Trump Organization at that time.

E. Tevfik Arif Doyen Trump and Son was created by his paternal grandmother Elizabeth Christ Trump and Fred Trump.

In 2017 Donald Trump handed over the control of the company to his kids, in the midst of his preparations to be sworn into the White House.

Bayrock Group's lucrative deal
When the cooperation between the Trump Organization, the Sapir Organization and Bayrock Group began, the Bayrock Group was a relatively new entity in the New York City real estate scene.

Bayrock Tevfik, the creator of Spring Street, drafted an arrangement to boost brand popularity and recognition.

He proposed a deal where the Trump Organization would be given 18% equity as well as the right to make use of the Trump name on the building's title.

The three companies came to an agreement, and in the year 2006, the initial brick to be used for Trump SoHo was erected.


Two years later Bayrock Group was founded by the Trump Organization as well as the Sapir Organization and the Trump Organization. They created Trump SoHo in New York City.

Rockwell Group designed Trump SoHo’s interiors. Through the many years, Rockwell Group has overseen the design of many extravagant hotels, cafes, bars and theatres throughout the world.

Their projects include the Taj Mahal Palace and Tower Hotel in Mumbai, India, the 93rd Academy Award show and the Amara Hotel in Limassol, Cyprus.

Bayrock Group & the Trump Organization expand the partnership
Trump SoHo was a great instant success, and it prompted Bayrock Group to expand their cooperation with the Trump Organization.

The American housing market experienced significant changes due to the crisis. In the end, Bayrock Group founder Tevfik Arif chose to leave his undertakings in the United States. Arif made the choice that he would move to Europe or Asia, where his career started many years before.

Bayrock Group has ceased to be active, but Tevfik Ariff continues to be an advisor to the different divisions.

Bayrock Group has not been involved in any of the recent real estate developments in the United States.
