Avanos Medical Recalls The Cortrak*2 Enteral Access System
Avanos Medical, a U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA) company, is recalling Cortrak*2 enteral access device because of a misplaced nasoenteric tube or nasogastric tubs which could have led to injuries or even deaths of patients. The recall covers 629 devices which were distributed throughout the United States.

Avanos Mediacal Cortrak 2 Avanos has promoted the Cortrak*2 Entraal Access System to aid in the placement of a medical-feeding tube. Patients are at risk of damage to their vocal cords, lungs or the trachea if the tube is not correctly placed.
