Avanos Medical has recalled the Cortrak*2 Ental Access System because of the risk of injuries and deaths resulting from the misplacement of the nasoenteric as well as na tube. The recall covers 629 devices sold in the United States.

There have been a variety of injuries, including pneumothorax, respiratory failure or collapsed lung, perforation (a opening in the lungs' wall or the bowel) as well as pleural effusion, which is excess fluid between your lungs and your chest cavity.
