Xbox Live Crash Leaves Millions of Gamers Inaccessible

Microsoft's online gaming service Xbox Live has suffered a major glitch that has left users inaccessible.

Many gamers have reported issues across the globe when trying to sign in to the service that lets gamers play multiplayer games online in addition to purchase and download titles.

The company claimed it was working on a fix to the issue, however, it was not able to confirm the date it would return.

Many gamers have reported issues while trying to log in to the service that allows them to play multiplayer online and also to download and buy games.

'Our engineers and developers are continuing to work to resolve the issue that has caused some members to have problems connecting to Xbox Live,' it stated.

'Stay tuned, and thanks for your patience. '

It comes days after Microsoft launched an attack on YouTube and Amazon's Twitch by purchasing its own livestreaming service.

The issue was disclosed by the company in a series of tweets. However the company has stated that it is still investigating the matter.

The Xbox maker announced plans to purchase Beam Livestreaming, a live-streaming company based in Seattle and was founded by Matt Salsamendi (18 years old).

The teen, who started his company in January claims it has already reached 100,000 users.

Unlike other streaming services, it lets users influence and interact with a game streamed by a different player.

Beam lets viewers suggest streamers challenges and even modify in-game elements such as the weapon loadout or the quest selection.

The Xbox maker today announced its plans to acquire live-streaming service Beam founded in Seattle. Beam is a company created by 18-year-old Matt Salsamendi

It also allows developers to create special button layouts that allow viewers to interact with games being streamed on Beam.

"We at Xbox are excited about this new convergence of watching and playing and we would like to provide players with the freedom and choice to have great multiplayer experiences across all Beam's platforms as well,' Chad Gibson, a partner group program manager at Microsoft's Xbox Live division in an announcement.

The acquisition will let gamers enjoy the games they want and with the people they want, and on the devices they desire.'

The details of the deal have not been revealed.

He also explained how the system might be integrated with Minecraft.

'Using 'Minecraft' as one example, with Beam you don't just sit and watch your favorite streamers play, you join in with them.

It is possible to give them new challenges and make in-real-time decisions that impact their gameplay, from selecting tools to quests, to movement all with simple visual controls.'

Salsamendi declares that Beam will continue to exist even if Beam and his colleagues are integrated into the Xbox engineering team.

In an article on Beam's website, Salsamendi says the service has seen a rise of around 100,000 users since it was launched in January of this year.

As part of Xbox we'll be able to grow faster than we've ever able to before", according to the article.

"We are expanding our team, strengthening our infrastructure, and most important, we're growing and supporting Beam's amazing community.

THE XBOX ONE S

The Xbox One S will come in a color dubbed 'robot white'.

It will come with an internal power supply, unlike previous generations of Xbox which had external power packs.

The Xbox One S will be 40 percent smaller than the previous model, despite this.

Microsoft declared that the console will support 4K Ultra HD video, and will come with up to 2TB of internal storage.

The new model will also include a wireless controller with extended range and High Dynamic Range (HDR).

Owners will be able customize their controller using Microsoft's Xbox design lab.
