With all the new versions, updates built, mods, and versions it's hard for us to comprehend how far Minecraft has come. The full game was released in 2011 but even before that, it had been in Early Access since 2009. It's easy to forget just how much has changed and gone since then, especially if you've not played the game since it first hit the world. This is a fan-created version of the original Minecraft trailer. Redditor RedAdventurer11 posted an updated take on Mojang's first big tease, and it's a joy to watch, especially if you compare it to the original. It follows the same pattern as the official but showcases all of the new features and biomes that have come to the game in the past decade.

It does a better job of promoting the game because of all the new content. RedAdventurer11 made it a goal to display the major updates in the right order as LennyTheSpider has pointed out. The section begins at about 58 seconds, and showcases the ice spikes from 1.7, ocean monuments starting at 1.8 and the city fights that end at 1.9, and so on.
It's a wonderful little detail that helps to bring a sense of progress and time into the video. It's also not something RedAdventurer11 was expecting people to be aware of, however, the Minecraft community never ceases to amaze. This trailer has been reanimated and is a fantastic piece of nostalgia. It's hard to not be awestruck when you see it.
