Minecraft Console Cheats and Commands: how to make use of The Commands

To take the tedious work out of crafting and speed up your inventory navigation, here's list of handy Minecraft cheats - implemented using console commands.

It's not as complicated as it sounds, however it's all explained in the following article. You can also see our guide on how to control a fox in Minecraft and how to enable ray-tracing in the block-builder.

As with many mods that are available, cheats are only available on PC and console gamers will have to grind in the traditional way. Furthermore, these cheats can only be used on worlds where cheats are enabled - you'll be asked this when you create a new world, or opening an online game with a single player on LAN and choosing "Allow Cheats'.

Once you have your cheat-enabled world installed, all you need to do is to type in a few commands. The first step is to press the C' key to bring the command bar up.

The command bar is where you enter commands. Each one must be preceded by a forward-slash (/). You'll also have to select targets to get your cheats. However, rather than typing out full names, you can use these shorthand target selector shortcuts.

@p = the closest player - @r = random player

@a = All Players

- @e = all entities

- @s = the person who executes the command

That's the basics - now you need to enter your desired cheater's code using the following console commands.
